ANZ donates $100,000 to help flood recovery in Far North Queensland

ANZ today announced it will contribute $100,000 to support those impacted by ex-Tropical Cyclone Jasper in Far North Queensland.

The donation will be distributed to two organisations helping with the disaster response and recovery efforts.

ANZ will contribute $50,000 to both the Australian Red Cross and the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR).

ANZ General Manager Queensland, Jackie Auf der Maur said: “Our thoughts are with all of those impacted and we thank the Queensland Government for kicking off the recovery appeal with its $1.5 million donation.

“Over the last few days, we’ve seen how resilient the people of Far North Queensland have been in coming together. The devastation of the flooding continues to impact the community and during this difficult time, it is important they are supported.

“This donation is one way we can help the community recover, in addition to the financial support measures we are offering our customers,” she said.

Customers affected by flooding can contact ANZ’s dedicated financial hardship team on 1800 149 549 or at anz.com.au/support/natural-disaster-support/.

ANZ branches that were closed due to the flooding have now re-opened. Customers can visit these branches if they are able to or can contact their relationship manager to discuss the impact on their business or personal circumstances.

Customers with ANZ Home and Contents Insurance, may also be eligible for emergency funds and temporary accommodation. To lodge an insurance claim, customers can call 13 16 14 or visit anz.com.au/insuranceclaims.
