ANZ comments on A Current Affair story
ANZ today commented on a story aired on Channel Nine’s A Current Affair program on Tuesday 10 July.
The story featured an ANZ customer who disputed the nature of his business loan. The following statement was provided to the program:
- While we are limited in what we can say on individual customers, we have resolved all outstanding issues with Mr Deland and wish him well for the future.
- It should be noted the Financial Ombudsman Service found the original loan approval documents in 2013 were not fraudulent. We have also improved our processes that allowed his original lending to be increased.
ANZ banker Marc Dorfling was featured in the program. ANZ confirms Mr Dorfling had no involvement with the alleged doctoring of applications or providing false information.
Mr Dorfling is a valued member of ANZ and will continue to perform his important role in supporting our business customers.
