ANZ appoints Grant Knuckey as CEO USA

ANZ Bank today announced the appointment of Grant Knuckey as CEO USA, reporting to Farhan Faruqui, Group Executive International.

Mr Knuckey is currently CEO Japan and has been with ANZ for more than 20 years, including 15 years in Asia. He previously led ANZ businesses in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar, and was deputy CEO and Head of Institutional in China.

 

Commenting on the appointment Mr Faruqui said: “Our US business is key to our ambition of being the best bank for customers with international trade and capital flows.

 

“I’m confident Grant’s extensive experience at ANZ and in Asia will be highly valuable in further connecting our international network and our home markets,” Mr Faruqui said.

 

Mr. Knuckey will commence the role by early April 2018, subject to regulatory approval, and will be based in New York.

 

He replaces Truett Tate, who is retiring. 

 

ANZ is in the process of recruiting a new CEO Japan and will make an announcement in due course.
