Rufus Pinto appointed CEO Laos
ANZ today announced the appointment of Rufus Pinto as CEO Laos, reporting to Dennis Hussey, CEO Vietnam and Head of Greater Mekong Region.
Mr Pinto is currently Regional Country Head for ANZ in Vanuatu, Kiribati & New Caledonia. Prior to this, he held senior roles with ANZ across businesses including Corporate and Institutional banking, Small to Medium business banking and Private Wealth.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr Hussey said: “ANZ was the first locally incorporated international bank in Laos, where we play an important role supporting customers with trade flows across the rapidly-integrating ASEAN region and our home markets.
“We’re pleased to have someone with Rufus’ extensive experience in both Australia and international markets to lead ANZ Laos.”
Subject to regulatory approval, Mr Pinto will commence in the role on 1 October 2017. An announcement on the new Regional Country Head for ANZ in Vanuatu, Kiribati & New Caledonia role will be made in coming weeks.
