Management change at ANZ

ANZ today announced it was completing an internal and external search to replace Susie Babani who will leave ANZ in November after nine years as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Commenting on the change, ANZ Chief Executive Officer Shayne Elliott said: “Susie has made a very significant and enduring contribution to ANZ since she joined us in late 2007.

“In that time we have developed an enormously talented team across 34 countries which owes much to her leadership. Susie has also played a key role in resetting our culture and values during a period of international expansion and she has been an untiring champion for diversity and inclusion.

“I am also personally grateful to her. Not only was Susie part of recruiting me to ANZ, she has been incredibly supportive during the leadership transition last year and over the past nine months since I became chief executive.

“Susie has an adventurous spirit and I know she has personal and professional plans beyond ANZ. I thank Susie for her contribution and wish her every success in the future,” Mr Elliott said.

Ms Babani leaves ANZ on 30 November and her replacement is expected to be announced in the coming months.
