ANZ extends partnership with ANZ Championship for further three years

ANZ today announced it has extended its sponsorship of the ANZ Championship for a further three years.

The renewal of the sponsorship reinforces ANZ’s long-standing support of netball, from the grass roots level in both Australia and New Zealand, through to the game’s elite.

ANZ Australia Chief Executive Officer Philip Chronican said: “Our nine year sponsorship of the ANZ Championship demonstrates the depth of our commitment to supporting netball at all levels and we’re pleased to continue our involvement for another three years.”

ANZ New Zealand Chief Executive Officer David Hisco said: “Netball is the most popular women’s sport in both Australia and New Zealand, and extending our partnership with the ANZ Championship makes this sponsorship the single largest female sports sponsorship across Australasia.”

ANZ Championship General Manager Andy Crook said he was delighted by ANZ’s commitment to netball both in Australia and New Zealand through to the end of 2016.

“The partnership between ANZ and the ANZ Championship is a significant investment not just in netball, but in women’s sport in Australia and New Zealand. We are thrilled that ANZ is extending its commitment to growing the world’s best netball league for another three years.

“The ANZ Championship has a healthy reputation in women’s sport world-wide and the league’s seventh season is shaping up to be the most competitive we’ve had,” Mr Crook said.
