ANZ appoints Kate Gibson General Manager Small Business Banking
ANZ today announced the appointment of Kate Gibson as General Manager Small Business Banking, reporting to Managing Director of Corporate and Commercial Banking, Mark Whelan.
Ms Gibson is a senior executive with diverse experience in financial services, telecommunications, healthcare and government services across Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Brazil.
Between 2011 and 2014, Ms Gibson was General Manager Greater Melbourne for ANZ’s branch network, where she grew market share and lifted staff engagement across 130 branches.
Commenting on the appointment Mr Whelan said: “Kate is the ideal leader to support our customers as they take advantage of improving economic conditions. Her experience in developing strong teams and growing businesses will be a tremendous asset to ANZ and our small business customers.”
Ms Gibson will commence in the role on 24 March, based in Melbourne.
As part of this announcement, ANZ General Manager Regional Business Banking, Tania Motton, has been given additional responsibility for Corporate and Commercial Banking in South Australia, a role she has held in an acting capacity since November 2013.
