ANZ’s Queensland head office to relocate to 111 Eagle Street Brisbane
ANZ today announced that it will relocate its Queensland head office to a new building in Brisbane’s central business district, along the city’s riverside.
The 6 Star Green Star premium-grade, 54-storey building at 111 Eagle Street is due for completion early in 2012 and ANZ will lease five floors of the river rise section to accommodate around 600 Brisbane-based staff.
ANZ State Chairman Queensland Russell Shields said: “This is an exciting move for ANZ and one which demonstrates our long-term commitment to supporting our full range of businesses in Queensland.”
ANZ Group General Manager Property Kate Langan said the new head office would allow ANZ to consolidate three other Queensland CBD offices to 111 Eagle Street, bringing ANZ and its OnePath wealth business together.
“The building will include open-plan work areas and better facilities for staff and customers in keeping with the successful design of ANZ’s global headquarters in Melbourne.”
As part of the relocation, ANZ will also open a retail branch on the ground floor of the 111 Eagle Street site.
