ANZ appoints Steve Bellotti as Managing Director, Global Markets (PDF 24kB)

ANZ today announced the appointment of Steve Bellotti as Managing Director, Global Markets, reporting to CEO Institutional, Shayne Elliott. 

In the role, Mr Bellotti will lead ANZ’s Global Markets business, which delivers product solutions across foreign exchange, capital markets, interest rates, commodities and derivatives, as well as specialist research and risk management expertise.

Mr Bellotti, 48, previously held roles including Global Head of Capital Markets at Dresdner Kleinwort in London and senior executive positions at Merrill Lynch in London, New York, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore.

This included experience across all asset classes – bonds, foreign exchange, rates, credit, equities, derivatives, sales and trading. Mr Bellotti joins ANZ on 1 March 2010 and will be based in Sydney.

“Steve is an outstanding addition to our Global Markets team, having built large capital markets businesses for global banks. His breadth of experience in creating strong crossborder teams equips him well to deliver on ANZ’s super regional strategy,” said Mr Elliott.

Mr Bellotti succeeds Gilles Plante who was appointed ANZ’s CEO North East Asia, Europe & America in December 2009.
