Senior appointment at ANZ (PDF 20kB)

ANZ has announced the appointment of Jeremy Dean as General Manager, Business Banking, reporting to Group Managing Director, Commercial Banking, David Hisco.

Mr Dean joins ANZ from Westpac, where he most recently led the Premium Business Banking Group. Mr Dean has over 25 years experience in both consumer and commercial banking, starting his career as a business banker at Westpac in the early 80’s. He has also worked for NAB, ASB Bank and American Express.

 

Commenting on the appointment, ANZ Group Managing Director, Commercial Banking, David Hisco said: “It’s pleasing to have a manager with Jeremy’s broad experience join ANZ’s Commercial Leadership team which has a strategy to deliver ‘more convenient banking’ for businesses.

 

“Jeremy will be charged with positioning Business Banking as the bank of choice for Australian customers, focusing on increasing our sales outcomes at the frontline. Our super regional strategy and strong representation across New Zealand and Asia, position us well.

 

“Jeremy’s local expertise and intricate knowledge of regional business will be important to our strategy,” Mr Hisco said.

Mr Dean will commence with ANZ on 3 August in Melbourne.
