Senior Risk appointments at ANZ

ANZ today announced two senior risk management appointments reporting to Chief Risk Officer, Chris Page. 

  • Rob Goudswaard has been appointed to the role of Chief Risk Officer Institutional, having acted as Chief Risk Officer for both the Institutional and Australia divisions since January 2009. Mr Goudswaard is a career banker and was previously Managing Director Regional, Rural and Small Business Banking at ANZ.

     

  • Mike Cutter has been appointed as Chief Risk Officer Australia. Mr Cutter joins ANZ from GE Money where he was most recently Australia and New Zealand Chief Executive Officer and President. Mr Cutter has over 20 years banking experience and has held a number of positions in risk management including Vice President Risk Management for GE Money Global and Chief Risk Officer for GE Capital in Australia and New Zealand.

 

Commenting on the appointments, ANZ Chief Risk Officer, Chris Page said: “These appointments further strengthen the risk function at ANZ with executives who have strong banking and risk management backgrounds.

 

“Rob has a strong background as a banker and manager and has done an outstanding job in leading the risk function for the Institutional and Australia divisions in recent months. 

 

“We are also very pleased to have someone of Mike’s calibre join ANZ. He brings significant experience in risk management having started his career in risk and moving through a number of senior positions, including international experience and a background in retail risk management.” 

 

Mr Cutter will commence with ANZ on 20 April in Melbourne.
