ANZ Infrastructure’s Acquisition of 50% of Neerabup Power Station

Published on 25 February 2009

ANZ Infrastructure Services Ltd announced that on Monday 23 February it completed the acquisition of Babcock & Brown Power's 50% interest in the 330MW Neerabup gas-fired power project located 30km north of Perth in Western Australia.

In November 2008 ANZIS, on behalf of Energy Infrastructure Trust, entered into a purchase agreement with BBP to acquire 50% of Neerabup which BBP held in partnership with ERM Power, a Queensland power development company.

With the addition of this investment, EIT now manages investments in 750MW of wind and gasfired generation projects in South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland as well as other significant energy assets.

ANZIS is continuing to look for new investments in a number of energy projects throughout Australia.
